Custom Furniture Designer Job

We are looking for a highly skilled designer who specializes in custom furniture design. The ideal candidate will be an expert in producing detailed, accurate technical drawings and be proficient in AutoCAD and SketchUp.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work on unique, custom-designed furniture projects. As a custom furniture designer, you will be responsible for creating precise and detailed 2D and 3D drawings for custom furniture projects.

  • Create precise and detailed 2D and 3D drawings for custom furniture projects
  • Collaborate with clients, project managers, and craftsmen to ensure designs meet specifications
  • Prepare accurate shop drawings and construction details
  • Modify and adjust drawings based on feedback and production requirements
  • Ensure all designs comply with structural and material considerations for custom wood fabrication

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and SketchUp (required)
  • Proven experience creating detailed technical drawings for furniture or millwork
  • Knowledge of custom wood construction techniques (highly preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to translate design concepts into production-ready drawings

Work Requirements

You will need to have your own laptop or desktop and a stable internet connection.
