
Senior Financial Specialist

Job Overview:
This role is responsible for providing financial support to the organization by handling daily receipting, bank reconciliation, and financial reviews.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle finance queries (tickets) in Freshdesk
- Perform daily receipting, monthly bank reconciliation, and manage bank accounts
- Invest and mature term deposits, and communicate with stakeholders
- Conduct financial reviews and generate reports
- Manage monthly cashflow forecasts and execute management actions
- Undertake year-end financial checks and create accrual journals
- Prepare financial year budgets and contribute to the organization's financial planning
- Issue contribution levies to owners
- Liaise with external auditors on audit queries and coordinate audits
- Manage new/lost business onboarding and offboarding processes
- Prepare and review BAS statements quarterly and tax returns yearly
- Update Management Agreements, including system updates and fee corrections
- Review bot exception reports and complete tasks manually
- Coordinate Body Corporate loans and manage loan activities
- Provide explanations or relevant information to various parties (e.g., Executive Committee, Strata Manager)
- Attend virtual finance meetings with clients if required
- Charge miscellaneous costs to owners (gas, water, electricity, car park, etc.)
- Process payroll and superannuation for building managers employed by the Owners Corporation
- Investigate ad hoc bank deposit recalls and dishonoured payment incidents
Requirements:
- A degree qualification in accounting or a similar field
- At least 4 years of accounting experience
- Experience in budget preparation
- A strong understanding of financial statements (profit and loss, balance sheet, cash flow)
- Experience reviewing financial statements and communicating results to stakeholders
- Proven account reconciliation skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge and experience in Income Tax and BAS (desirable)
