About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Solution Engineer to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who possess strong technical skills, customer savvy, and a passion for data.

This role will involve working closely with sales, product, engineering, and marketing teams to provide technical expertise that enables customers to unlock the full potential of our data platform.

The ideal candidate will have a broad range of skills and experience in data architecture, ETL/ELT, data science, security, performance analysis, analytics, and more. They will be able to make connections between customer business problems and our solution, communicate effectively with various stakeholders, and provide consultative assistance on architecture and implementation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Presents technology and vision to executives and technical contributors at prospects and customers
  • Works hands-on with prospects and customers to demonstrate and communicate the value of our technology throughout the sales cycle
  • Maintains a deep understanding of competitive and complementary technologies and vendors
  • Collaborates with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to continuously improve products and marketing
Minimum Requirements:
  • 10+ years of experience working in customer-facing sales engineering (tech pre-sales) role
  • Strong competency on modern data stacks, ETL/ELT, data warehouse/lake, data science, and data apps
  • Outstanding skills presenting to both technical and executive audiences
Desired Skills:
  • Data Science knowledge and experience
  • University degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or related fields
  • Software development experience with Java, Spark, and other scripting languages

Bonus for: Strong Data Science/AI/ML experience across a variety of platforms, familiarity with common BI and data exploration tools, cloud provider experience, OLAP data modeling and data architecture experience, and experience selling enterprise SaaS software.
