Revenue Cycle Management Specialist Job Opportunity

A Revenue Cycle Management Specialist is required to support the credentialing, billing, and accounts receivable processes for a dental practice. This role demands strong technical knowledge of dental billing systems, insurance processes, and claim management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process provider applications accurately.
  • Maintain completeness of provider data in the database.
  • Communicate effectively with the team throughout the credentialing process.
  • Follow up proactively on application statuses and missing information.
  • Review revenue cycle processes including insurance verification, claims submission, payment posting, and AR follow-up.
  • Utilize practice management software to enter data, prepare reports, and ensure accuracy.
  • Investigate denied, delayed, or underpaid claims.
  • Monitor AR aging reports and follow up on overdue accounts.
  • Analyze claim denials and communicate root causes to the team.
  • Research and gather necessary documentation.
  • Collaborate with dental providers and staff to gather necessary documentation.
  • Handle appeals for denied claims with proper documentation.
  • Track claim progress and provide proactive updates to the team.
  • Maintain detailed records of all follow-up activities and claim outcomes.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in dental billing and revenue cycle management.
  • Proficiency with dental billing software (OpenDental, Dentrix, Eaglesoft) and dental coding (CPT, ICD-10).
  • Strong understanding of insurance billing processes and dental insurance plans.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong technical skills and/or ability to learn quickly.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
  • Positive attitude, patience, and professionalism.
