Treasury Analyst Job Description

As a key member of the financial team, the Treasury Analyst plays a pivotal role in managing the company's cash flow and liquidity. Ensuring effective management of financial assets is crucial for the organization's success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cash and Liquidity Management:
    • Monitor daily cash balances, outstanding checks, unreleased checks, and deposits in transit to maintain optimal liquidity levels.
    • Initiate fund transfer processes via online banking and manual forms/checks to ensure timely transactions.
    • Prepare comprehensive monthly cashflow reports to inform strategic decisions.
    • Manage loans for availments and repayments, maintaining a balanced financial position.
  • Collections and Disbursements:
    • Update daily bank statements to facilitate company monitoring and analysis.
    • Tag daily bank transactions (collections and disbursements) in bank statements to track financial activity.
    • Process collections to the system and coordinate treasury disbursements and unidentified debits with the Payable Department.
    • Maintain accurate monthly collection and disbursement reports for tax purposes.
  • Department Reporting:
    • Record and analyze Cash Position, Collections, Disbursements, Loans, AR Aging, Collection Efficiency, and other KPIs to identify areas for improvement.
    • Research economic outlook reports to inform decision-making and drive business growth.
    • Collaborate with the Department Head to prepare cashflow forecasts and financial models.
  • Relationship Management:
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential banking partners to secure favorable terms.
    • Communicate effectively with banking partners to meet company needs.
    • Coordinate with other departments to address queries, ad-hoc requests, and concerns.
  • Corporate Compliance & Admin:
    • Ensure treasury policies are implemented and identify opportunities for improvement.
    • Maintain accurate records of Treasury KPIs.
    • Perform various administrative tasks related to treasury operations.
