Financial Analyst Position

Role: Financial Analyst

\

This role will report to our accounting manager and work closely with the entire domestic and international accounting and finance organization.

\

The candidate should be excited to join a company that is unlocking brine resources to provide essential raw materials to the battery industry.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the month-end close through the preparation of journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting schedules on a timely basis.\
  • Assist the accounting manager with consolidations by reviewing financials, eliminations, and financial statement reports for external reporting compliance.\
  • Help manage the business travel and expense platform by ensuring policy compliance and accurate coding of all transactions.\
  • Maintain the fixed asset subledger and propose additions and disposals.\
  • Analyze and provide commentary on monthly Balance Sheet and P&L account balances.\
  • Assist the billing department during month-end close and ensure payments are processed timely and purchase order exceptions are resolved.\
  • Interact cross-functionally with department managers to support accounting team goals.\
  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of critical accounting policies.\
  • Contribute to the execution of the annual financial statement audit by providing supporting documentation and responding promptly and accurately to audit inquiries.\
  • Assist with system implementations, technical accounting analysis, and projects as needed.\
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, drive efficiency, and streamline processes.\
  • A strong understanding of US GAAP and technical accounting is required.\
  • Proficient in MS Office, including Excel and Word.\
  • Flexibility and willingness to pitch in with assorted tasks as they arise.\
  • Willingness to work Pacific Time Zone hours.\
