This is a challenging role for experienced plumbers seeking to transition into a tech-enabled operations position.

As a Plumbing Quality Control Specialist, you will oversee licensed plumbers in the field and ensure quality control before work progresses. Your responsibilities include reviewing diagnoses, validating scopes, and flagging issues that may arise during projects.

The ideal candidate will possess strong diagnostic skills, with the ability to assess work via photos, videos, and notes. Familiarity with common residential plumbing issues is also essential. Additionally, excellent communication skills are required for technical discussions with contractors.

This role does not involve scheduling, dispatching, or resident communication. It is a contractor-to-contractor role focused on challenging bids, clarifying repairs, and maintaining efficiency.

The successful candidate will have 3–5+ years of hands-on residential plumbing experience, a Master Plumber certification, and the ability to identify subpar work and guide contractors toward correct scope. Quick adaptability to new software platforms and excellent organizational skills managing multiple work orders are also necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and review numerous plumbing work orders daily across residential sites.
  • Evaluate contractor reports, photos, and videos for accuracy.
  • Identify incomplete or inaccurate bids and coordinate with contractors to resolve issues.
  • Provide technical guidance and escalate quality concerns appropriately.
  • Ensure all documentation and data entries are accurate and complete.
  • Serve as the final QA checkpoint before work approval, scheduling, or billing.
  • Utilize internal platforms for efficient workflow management.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to troubleshoot delays or issues.
