Seeking a seasoned professional to support the institution's corporate governance framework.

Job Description

The selected candidate will work closely with the Regulatory Compliance Lead to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements. Key responsibilities include:

  • Corporate Governance Management:
  1. Develop, implement, and maintain a robust corporate governance framework aligned with industry standards and best practices.
  2. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of governance policies, recommending improvements as necessary.
Policy Implementation and Management:
  1. Assist in developing, reviewing, and implementing governance policies and procedures that promote effective communication and adherence across the organization.
  2. Provide guidance to management and staff on governance matters, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Regulatory Compliance Reviews:
  1. Conduct regular compliance assessments across business units to identify risks and recommend corrective actions.
  2. Support compliance monitoring and testing programs to ensure ongoing compliance.
Compliance Advisory:
  1. Advise management and staff on regulatory compliance issues, staying up-to-date on regulatory changes.
  2. Assist in regulatory filings and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Reporting:
  1. Prepare comprehensive compliance reports for senior management and the board.
  2. Maintain records of compliance activities, findings, and recommendations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance, or related field; advanced degree or certifications preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience in corporate governance and regulatory compliance within financial institutions.
  • Strong knowledge of governance principles, compliance requirements, and industry standards.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
