Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Professional to join our team. As a Tax Accountant, you will be responsible for preparing annual financial statements and supporting working papers in accordance with Canadian standards.

  • Prepare comprehensive financial statements and tax returns for high-performing entrepreneurial clients;
  • Identify and implement tax planning opportunities, preparing written memos and summaries as needed;
  • Collaborate with clients on tax issues and document requests;
  • Work closely with directors and partners on complex tax engagements;
  • Respond to CRA queries and notices; and
  • Contribute to the development of internal documentation and training programs.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a multi-client accounting environment, preferably within a cloud accounting or public accounting firm with international clients;
  • Strong communication skills and client-facing experience;
  • Proficiency in financial statement preparation software, tax software, and cloud-based accounting software;
  • CPA designation or extensive financial statement and tax preparation experience;
  • Commitment to a minimum 2-year engagement;
  • Flexibility to work in a mid or night shift schedule.
