Job Description

We are seeking skilled Construction Cost Analysts to review drawings, specifications, and project plans to prepare accurate estimates.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze architectural and engineering drawings to estimate material costs.
  • Prepare detailed breakdowns of labor, equipment, and subcontractor expenses.
  • Research historical pricing data and market trends to enhance estimate accuracy.
  • Obtain and evaluate bids from vendors and subcontractors.
  • Develop and maintain databases for unit costs, productivity rates, and supplier pricing information.
  • Participate in bid reviews and risk assessment discussions with project managers.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure smooth project transitions.
  • Contribute to value engineering and cost-saving initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Construction Estimator or related field (3+ years preferred).
  • Familiarity with construction methods, materials, and regulations.
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction documents.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience with estimating software and collaboration tools.
  • Knowledge of local building codes and permitting processes.
  • LEED certification or understanding of sustainable practices.
