We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Paralegal to support our legal operations. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in managing insurance claims, coordinating with insurance brokers, and assisting in litigation-related tasks.

This is a remote position, allowing you to work from the comfort of your home while contributing to our growing business. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with an international team and develop your skills in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

  • Responsibilities:
  • Manage and monitor insurance claims, ensuring timely submissions and renewals.
  • Coordinate with insurance brokers on ongoing cases, providing exceptional customer service.
  • Assist in the management of lawsuits, including maintaining documentation, timelines, and coordination with legal counsel.
  • Oversee the legal process related to state licensing for new or potential acquisitions.
  • Liaise with state agencies to ensure full compliance with licensing requirements.
  • Prepare and write clear, concise summary reports and updates for ownership and executive leadership.
  • Maintain accurate records of legal matters, communications, and compliance documents.
  • Support other legal and administrative tasks as required.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Proven experience as a Paralegal or Legal Assistant in healthcare or senior living sector is a plus.
  • Insurance Claims:** Strong understanding of insurance claims and litigation processes.
  • Licensing Requirements:** Familiarity with state licensing requirements and acquisition-related legal documentation.
  • Communication Skills:** Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Organizational Skills:** Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
  • Documentation:** Ability to produce clear, professional summary reports and documentation for executive review.
  • Technical Skills:** Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and document management systems.
  • Law Knowledge:** Experience with US insurance and state laws is desired.
  • Employment Law:** Experience in employment law is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Education:** Bachelor's degree or Paralegal certification.
  • Multi-State Experience:** Experience working in multi-state environments or with regulatory agencies.
  • Regulatory Knowledge:** Understanding of healthcare or senior living regulatory environments.
