About Senior Paralegal Role

This senior paralegal position is available at our law firm. The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of tasks including drafting legal documents, reviewing court rules and applying them to assignments, analyzing and synthesizing documents, organizing and maintaining the litigation calendar, scheduling client meetings, hearings and deadlines, screening calls, taking messages and informing attorneys of urgent messages, assembling, organizing, preparing, proofreading and editing documents, profiling documents to document management system and maintaining confidentiality of client/attorney information.


Responsibilities
  • Drafting legal pleadings and other legal documents in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Reviewing and applying court rules to assignments ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Analyzing and synthesizing complex documents to extract key information.
  • Maintaining the litigation calendar and scheduling client meetings, hearings and deadlines.
  • Screening calls, taking messages and informing attorneys of urgent matters.
  • Assembling, organizing, preparing, proofreading and editing documents for submission.
  • Profiling documents to document management system for easy access and retrieval.
  • Maintaining confidentiality of client/attorney information at all times.

Qualifications and Skills Required
  • A minimum of 5 years experience as a paralegal in a law firm setting.
  • Litigation experience in a multi-jurisdictional federal setting.
  • Strong knowledge of case management through all stages of litigation, including court rules, practices and procedures.
  • Familiarity with ECF/Pacer and proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe and other web-based applications.
  • Excellent writing skills for drafting pleadings and other legal documents.
