Job Title: Head of Credit Operations

A top-tier opportunity exists for an experienced credit risk management professional to lead our credit operations team.

About the Role

This is a career-defining position that requires a high level of expertise in credit policy development, credit evaluation, and portfolio risk management.

Responsibilities:
  • Credit Policy & Strategy:
    • Develop, implement, and maintain tailored credit risk policies and procedures.
    • Align credit strategies with business objectives.
  • Credit Evaluation & Approval:
    • Lead the assessment of borrower creditworthiness.
    • Approve or escalate credit decisions based on risk thresholds and financial analysis.
  • Portfolio Risk Management:
    • Monitor the performance of the credit portfolio and identify emerging risks.
    • Implement mitigation strategies to ensure optimal risk exposure.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Manage and mentor a team of credit analysts and underwriters.
    • Promote a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and collaboration.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Partner with legal, finance, and property management teams to ensure smooth deal execution and risk alignment.
    • Support due diligence efforts for acquisitions and new developments.
  • Reporting & Analytics:
    • Provide regular reports to executive leadership on credit performance, risk exposure, and key metrics.
    • Leverage data analytics to enhance credit decision-making and forecasting.
Qualifications
  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field (MBA or CPA preferred).
  • Experience:
    • 8–10+ years of experience in credit risk management, preferably in real estate or top financial institutions.
  • Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of U.S. lending regulations and real estate market dynamics.
    • Proficiency in credit scoring models, financial analysis, and risk assessment tools.
