
Sales Strategist

The Sales Planning and Reporting Analyst plays a critical role in driving revenue growth by helping the organization make informed decisions and optimize sales strategies. This position requires a combination of analytical skills, strategic thinking, and effective communication to succeed in a dynamic sales environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop sales plans and strategies that align with organizational objectives in collaboration with leadership and sales teams.
- Assist in coordinating annual budget processes and ongoing forecasting reviews to ensure alignment across regions/territories.
- Analyze and recommend adjustments in account segmentation to drive business growth and improve sales performance.
- Provide actionable insights to identify opportunities and challenges through analyzing sales performance metrics such as historical sales data, market trends, quotas, conversion rates, and sales pipeline data.
- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate sales team performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Design and maintain reports and dashboards using reporting tools like Tableau and Alteryx to provide timely and accurate information to stakeholders.
- Develop automated reporting processes to ensure timely delivery of sales reports to management and other relevant stakeholders.
- Monitor and analyze KPIs to provide regular updates on sales performance to management and sales teams.
- Communicate insights and performance updates to sales leadership and other relevant stakeholders through clear and concise reports and presentations.
- Collaborate with sales teams to develop action plans to improve sales performance based on data analysis and recommendations.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics.
- Use market insights to identify opportunities and threats in the market and make proactive recommendations for sales strategies and tactics.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of sales strategies and tactics.
- Develop strong relationships with cross-functional teams including marketing, finance, and product operations to ensure alignment of sales strategies.
- Provide regional pricing support and work with Finance and Sales teams to administer sales incentives and commissions compensation on an as-needed basis.
- Develop and manage data-sourcing strategy to integrate sales data from various sources including CRM systems, spreadsheets, and databases.
- Conduct regular data audits to critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, and ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues as they arise.
- Conduct ad hoc analyses as requested by the sales leadership team to provide additional insights and support.
- Support the sales team by answering data-related inquiries and offering training as necessary.
- Identify process inefficiencies in sales processes and recommend improvements to increase productivity and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process enhancements and monitor their impact.
