Software Quality Assurance Expert

The role of a Software Quality Assurance (SQA) expert is pivotal in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of software products.

This involves designing and implementing thorough testing plans, identifying defects, and collaborating closely with developers to improve software quality.

Some key responsibilities include:

  • Designing, developing, and executing comprehensive test plans and cases for software applications.
  • Identifying, documenting, and tracking software defects and issues using relevant tools.
  • Collaborating with the development team to understand software requirements and functionalities.
  • Conducting functional, regression, performance, and security testing.
  • Automating test cases where feasible using testing frameworks and tools.
  • Working closely with product managers and stakeholders to define acceptance criteria and test scenarios.
  • Participating in code reviews and providing feedback on software quality.
  • Maintaining knowledge of industry best practices, tools, and technologies related to software testing.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a SQA engineer or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Experience with both manual and automated testing.
  • Familiarity with test automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, JUnit, or TestNG.
  • Experience working with bug tracking and test management tools like JIRA, TestRail, or similar.
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
