About The Role

The Senior HRBP is a strong HR professional who can partner and engage with clients and business leaders to support the employee lifecycle administratively and transactionally. They have a comprehensive understanding and expertise in HR function(s), policy, employee engagement, and are directly invested in driving decisions that minimize risk, empower efficiency, and optimize continuous improvements.

The position formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and their direct reports. (if applicable) Their comprehensive understanding of the business needs allow for this role to 'plug and play' as needed with minimal disruption to internal operations. They are the initial point of contact for administrative and transactional escalations that include: resolving human relations concerns, identifying potential morale impacting issues, coaching and documenting on progressive performance management, and developing recommendations that

What you'll do:

Coaching And Consulting Leadership About HR Matters

  • A Sr. HR Business Partner should have a clear understanding of the way current and future challenges affect the people at their organization. This is how the HRBP can provide effective advice and coaching to key stakeholders.
  • However, the HRBP should only be an advisor and consultant and not the one who takes care of everything. Their job is to empower leadership to handle any people matters in the organization.

  • Conduct weekly or bi-weekly meetings with business leaders and provide HR advice where necessary
  • Be up-to-date on employment laws and regulations, as well as other legal requirements regarding people management, to help leaders ensure compliance
  • Provide guidance on the creation and implementation of HR processes and policies
  • Provide strategic advice, counsel and consultative solutions to executives on people management aspects of their business to include driving organizational development, team effectiveness, executing change management strategy and employee engagement solutions.
  • Guide and coach managers on how to appropriately manage and resolve complex HR issues (e.g., performance management and total rewards).
  • Partner with team members throughout the HR organization to communicate and educate on policies, procedures, and compliance.
  • Provide consultative support and guidance to client leadership

Strategic Leadership and Planning

  • A successful Senior HRBP in this space will need to be able to help the organization and client become future-ready by focusing on the existing workforce and organizational objectives.
  • Areas of focus will include:
  • Reskilling and upskilling: identify training needs and assist the L&D function in aligning training programs with business objectives
  • Partners with client in driving strategic workforce planning and ensures that company's workforce has the right size, shape, cost, and agility for the future
  • Succession planning: select and develop key talent to ensure there are talents to fill in critical roles

  • An HRBP helps their organization win clients and acquire and retain the best talent. Therefore, to help their company stay on top of the market, their work is two-fold.
  • HRBPs play an important role in making sure that their business can strategize, train, and adapt to develop the best product. The responsibilities included in the HR business partner job description can include:
  • Conducting day-to-day performance management guidance to line managers (for example mentoring, career planning, coaching, etc.)
  • Helping line managers deal with organizational, people, and change-related issues

Being a Company Culture And Employee Experience Champion

  • Helping build and maintain a strong organizational culture, as well as continuously improving the employee experience, is a core responsibility of future-ready HRBPs. Companies will often require the HR Business Partner to:
  • Provide advice and suggestions for culture-related initiatives, such as cultural transformation
  • Implement HRM interventions on employee wellness, diversity and inclusion, or talent management
  • Working together with management and personnel to solve conflicts and help facilitate positive employee relations, maintain a good working environment, build morale, and decrease unwanted turnover

General Admin Tasks

  • Create and prepare Employee Relations Reports such as but not limited to Attrition Report, Headcount Report, and the like.
  • Prepare case documents such as Notice to Explain, Progressive Counseling Form, Performance Improvement Plan, Notice of Decision, etc.
  • Perform related performance management tasks
  • Ensure accuracy of all HR data such as but not limited to HRIS data, attrition data, and the like
  • Perform other official work as instructed by the immediate supervisor/manager.
  • Recommend and proactively implement opportunities for increased departmental efficiency

What You Bring

  • At least 3-5 years of HRBP; labor relations or employee relations experience
  • Strong understanding of Philippine labor laws and other applicable regulations
  • Candidates must possess a bachelor's/college degree in Human Resources Management, Psychology, Behavioral Science, or equivalent.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Google Workspace apps.
  • Can easily adapt and understand different HR systems applicable for the job.
  • Good time management, multitasking, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral including when delivering bad news.
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguous situations
  • Professional maturity in handling confidential and sensitive information
