Duties & Responsibilities

  • Supervises the daily activities of the Technical department based on their set targets and deliverables.
  • Ensure that the SOP, policies and procedures related to technical operation, safety of the products are properly interpreted and applied.
  • Create and implement departmental policies and procedures such as but not limited to: Customer complaint, Equipment and Retain Samples Inventory Form, Near-Expiry and Expiry policy, TSR policies for demo/mockup, etc.
  • Oversee and ensure successful product demonstration and mockup.
  • Develop training plan (internal and external) and conduct trainings needed to improve the competencies of the sales and technical team.
  • Ensure effective and efficient after sales service support system in place.
  • Maintaining effective technical functions with specific expertise in the areas of product development/modification, customer service and quality management.
  • Supervise and coordinate all technical laboratory work, field evaluations and production trials associated with such approved development projects and new products.
  • Developing new products and support the development of new products that will enhance the company's profitability.
  • Assist in sourcing of new or alternative raw materials or alternative suppliers for existing raw materials.
  • Ensuring customer complaints are dealt with in a prompt and efficient manner to maintain relationships.
  • Assisting in the presentation of seminars, launches, demonstrations and training schools for clients and employees launches.
  • Ensuring safe work practices, handling of chemicals and 'Responsible Care' principles are adhered to in all aspects of the company's operations.
  • Overseeing and directing of departmental activities to ensure proper planning and scheduling of task and activities
  • Conduct team performance appraisals, including communicating constructive feedback, setting goals, and making recommendations for staff movement, development, promotion or salary increases.
  • Tracks progress of multiple projects to ensure successful completion through review of work, staff meetings, and status reports
  • Resolves situations where issues, such as errors in judgment or project delays, could result in loss of productivity and unmet goals.
  • Provides timely and accurate reports and/or metrics that align to the department reporting as necessary.
  • Represent the company during meetings, events, product evaluation and testing of products needed to close and finalize deals with projects.
  • Ensures all products recommended by Technical Team to Architects and Consultants have relevant and complete supporting documents needed for the approval.
  • Attend trainings relevant to product development, application, specification, and promotion.

Minimum Job Requirements/Qualifications

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor's Degree Graduate.
  • Preferably related courses in Civil Engineering, Architect, Chemical Engineering, Chemist.
  • With Valid Professional License preferred but not required.

Years Of Related Experience

  • With at least five-years of relevant working experience in the same industry (Waterproofing).
