Network Interconnection Specialist

Overview
We are looking for a PROACTIVE, DEPENDABLE, and STRATEGIC team member to work across the business units. The successful candidate thrives working with minimal direction but know when to ask question. The successful candidate is knowledgeable and passionate about finding problems, solving them, and with the ability to pivot on moment's notice.
Functions and Responsibilities
• Offer engineering solutions based on a thorough understanding of Data Network architecture, topology, and other configuration details.
• Maintain a record of engineering solutions, such as detailed engineering requirements, detailed reference design, and detailed integration test plan documents.
• Take part in technical and business discussion with Major ISP, Carriers, OTTs and provide solution recommendation to Internal team.
• Drive peering strategy &roadmap to build strategic &cost-effective peering ecosystem.
• Produce periodic report on Internet backbone traffic health and performance.
• Strategize peering connections to lessen infrastructure cost while improving user experience.
• Work closely with Operation and Maintenance team to manage and optimize routing policy.
• Work with commercial team to prepare peering forecast based on respective business requirements.

• Ability to multi-tasking and think out-of-the-box
Job Skills & Qualifications
5+ years experiences within the ISP industry, specific to peering, interconnection and Subsea
3+ years experiences working with core network technologies (BGP, MPLS, IPV4/IPV6, IS-IS, OSPF protocols, Firewall rules and best practices)
Graduate of BS ECE
Extensive working knowledge of IP network infrastructure
Obtained relevant certificates like CCNA, CCNP and or CCIE (or Similar for Juniper or Huawei)
Must have routing and switching experience.
Must have knowledge of setting up VLAN and IP addressing.
