Purpose of the Role
As a Relationship Manager you will be responsible for activation, overall delivery of sales performance, drive acquisition of new business, retention of quality business of all Insurance Specialists, Relationship Managers, and joint venture partners within your span of control. Your role also entails implementation of strategic initiatives to grow engagement and commitment of all dedicated direct sellers to support overall Bancassurance Partnership strategy to increase client penetration and bank fee income, widen bank footprint, drive customer loyalty, and strengthen joint venture partnership.
Responsibilities of the Role
- Drive activation of all Insurance Specialists, Relationship Managers, and JV partners
- Supervises Insurance Specialists, Relationship Managers, and all other JV partners to ensure delivery of pre-scribed business activities (e.g. Activity Management, Conversational selling, Financial Needs based selling, etc.). Daily drive and monitoring of the Bancassurance Partnership Channel.
- Utilizes coaching tools to teach, facilitate and guide dedicated Insurance Specialists, Relationship Managers, and JV partners to build capabilities that will maximize sales performance.
- Communicates with Insurance Specialists, Relationship Managers, and JV partners, appropriate BA correspondence and memorandum in a timely manner.
- Ensures team compliance of company policies and provisions as specified under the company's Code of Ethics and Market Conduct Guidelines.
- Execute efficient expense management.
- Relationship Management with JV partner
- Builds and maintains cordial business relationships with HSBC, PNB and all other JV partners.
- Execute prescribed activities that will develop the sales and marketing capabilities of the Bancassurance Partnership Channel.
- Communicates BA's initiatives, campaigns and product related updates to all Insurance Specialists, Relationship Managers, and JV partners within a timely manner.
- Contributes to the development of sales methodology/techniques
- Provide appropriate information on current practices, coverage, and trends.
- Provides marketing feedback on products and competitors' activity.
- College Graduate of a 4-year course Business or Management degree an advantage.
- Minimum 3 years work experience in sales management (not necessarily but preferably in the financial services industry) & successful track record in development of a sales team
- Highly adept to evaluate and assess performance against agreed standards, High degree of professionalism and good business etiquette, Team player/ leader, People skills.
- Highly energetic, creative, and keen on attention to detail.
- Able to motivate, inspire and lead to deliver sales targets.
- Relationship management at all levels of the Bancassurance Partnership Channel.
- Able to coach, train and develop both individuals and teams to improve their performance.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills at middle to senior levels in an organization,
- Excellent planning and execution of initiatives
- Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Sales ability and People Skills.
- Above average in MS Office applications and in presentation and facilitation skills.
