We are seeking a skilled Engineer/Architect to do take-offs and help estimate projects. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting accurate material takeoffs and assisting in project estimation for construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering or architecture, proficiency in construction estimating software, and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.

Responsibilities:
Material Takeoffs: Utilize construction plans and specifications to perform detailed material takeoffs for various building components, including but not limited to, structural elements, finishes, and MEP systems.
Quantity Surveying: Quantify and document the required quantities of materials, labor, and equipment needed for each project based on takeoff calculations and project requirements.
Cost Estimation: Assist in preparing accurate cost estimates for construction projects by analyzing takeoff data, researching material and labor costs, and applying industry-standard pricing methods.
Remote Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and other team members remotely to gather project information, clarify specifications, and ensure accurate takeoff and estimation processes.
Construction Software: Utilize construction estimating software and tools (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift, CostX) to perform takeoffs efficiently and accurately. Ensure that all takeoff data is properly documented and organized for reference.
Quality Assurance: Review takeoff quantities and cost estimates to identify any discrepancies or inconsistencies. Collaborate with project stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure accuracy in project estimation.

Key Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field.
Proven experience in construction takeoff, quantity surveying, or project estimation roles.
Proficiency in construction estimating software and tools.
Strong understanding of construction plans, specifications, and building materials.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and collaboration abilities in a remote work environment.
Attention to detail and accuracy in takeoff calculations and cost estimates.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Experience with remote collaboration tools (e.g., video conferencing, project management software) is a plus.
