Overview

The Head of Accounting is responsible for managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, maintaining compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and supporting the strategic goals of the organization. This leadership role supervises all accounting activities including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, tax, and audit coordination.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Oversee financial reporting to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  2. Lead and manage the accounting team, including performance and workflow.
  3. Ensure tax compliance and handle regulatory filings.
  4. Coordinate audits and liaise with external auditors.
  5. Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  6. Improve accounting processes for efficiency and accuracy.
  7. Support cash flow monitoring and assist with treasury-related tasks.
  8. Manage accounting systems and recommend system improvements.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA required

  • Years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role

  • Strong knowledge of local taxation, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance

  • Proficiency in accounting software/ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks)

  • Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills

  • High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines under pressure
