Overview

We are looking for a Chief Engineer to lead the technical and engineering operations of our mall. This role ensures the safe, reliable, and sustainable performance of all building systems—covering mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP), HVAC, and other critical infrastructure. The Chief Engineer plays a key role in operations, safety, energy efficiency, project management, and team leadership, directly supporting the mall's strategic and operational goals.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance of all building systems (HVAC, elevators, escalators, plumbing, electrical, fire protection).
  • Ensure compliance with local codes, safety regulations, and environmental laws.
  • Implement energy efficiency and sustainability programs.
  • Manage departmental budgets, operational expenditures, and capital projects.
  • Supervise vendors, contractors, and service providers to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Lead and develop a team of mall engineers and technical staff, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Act as a key responder during emergencies and technical incidents.
  • Prepare and submit operational and sustainability reports regularly.
Qualifications
  • Licensed Engineer with a Bachelor's degree in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 6 years' solid experience in electro-mechanical industry and property management.
  • Strong knowledge of local regulations, building codes, and compliance requirements.
  • Proven experience in managing technical teams, contractors, and large-scale facilities.
  • Excellent leadership, project management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications and engineering/project management tools (SAP, CADD, etc.).
  • Action-oriented, collaborative, and committed to operational excellence.
