About the Client:
The client is a rapidly growing behavioral health company with over 70 employees and four physical locations. They are dedicated to delivering high-quality mental health services and expanding access to care through thoughtful, data-driven operations. With a strong focus on financial sustainability and growth, the client is investing in top-tier talent to support their multi-million dollar infrastructure.

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Financial Analyst or CPA to join the team as a part-time Virtual Assistant. The ideal candidate will bring a strong accounting background and experience handling the financials of an 8-figure company. You will support high-level financial planning, reporting, and analysis, and collaborate closely with an on-site financial analyst.

This is a remote, independent contractor role starting at 20–25 hours per week, with flexibility in scheduling. The role may expand as the company continues to grow.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and manage accurate bookkeeping records
  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&Ls, budgets, forecasts)
  • Conduct payroll analysis (approx. $250k/month)
  • Assist with tax preparation and financial compliance
  • Contribute to high-level budgeting and forecasting efforts
  • Collaborate with on-site financial analyst to align on data and reporting
  • Support the transition to new accounting software (implementation planned by end of September)
  • Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the agency's goals and mission.
    • Oversee the annual budgeting process, financial forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
    • Provide strategic insights and recommendations to the executive team and board of directors.
    • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
    • Manage cash flow, investments, and funding sources to maintain financial stability.
    • Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and financial reconciliations.
    • Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, reporting requirements, and grant management policies.
    • Assess financial risks and implement strategies to mitigate them.
    • Liaise with external auditors and regulatory agencies as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience managing financials for companies with $10M+ in annual revenue
  • Strong proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks preferred, but flexible)
  • CPA certification highly preferred (not required)
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Experience with financial modeling, cash flow management, and forecasting
  • Comfortable working independently and handling confidential financial data
