Position Summary

The role of the IT Operations Associate is responsible for the full delivery and implementation of the unit's plans (Network Operating Center, Server, Database and Network). This position requires delivery of work and allocating resources to requests so they are serviced within agreed Service Level Agreements. This role requires high coordination with other teams to deliver the service, balance resources based on demand, manage vendors, and perform operational reporting. This role functions to serve a shared service unit for Rail & Non-Rail.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Monitors and analyzes network devices within MSE office, servers hosted at data center and across the lines using Nagios and PRTG.
  2. Informs the maintenance team on the field about the status of Rail devices. Continuously monitors the device until maintenance advises that the device availability has been restored.
  3. Monitors EOD (Clearing House Settlement) status and immediately notifies and rectifies critical processing failures.
  4. Monitors the stability of the Backend Application services both AFPI Office (e.g., NAV, Email, SharePoint), Rail (L1, L2, L3, and L4 environment), and non-rail systems (Beejees, RAI, and AWS cloud environment).
  5. Creates and maintains technical documentation.
  6. Communicates and collaborates with different teams (e.g., PDDEV, BD, RSD, HR, etc.).
  7. Prepares and submits accurate KPI 1, 8, and 9 for Rail reports (C.A adherence).
  8. Conducts testing for RAIL software applications such as POS, GATE, and TVM apps and assists in deployment.
  9. Attends to Office users' IT-related requests.
  10. Ability to work flexible hours including on-call and after-hours work for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
  11. Special Assignments and Projects
    • Any special projects and assignments given by management.
    • Provides feedback to ensure continuous improvement and advancement of the Group's mission, goals, activities, and initiatives.
    • Performs other duties deemed necessary or as requested by management.

Education and Work Background

  • Graduate of IT / Computer Science / Computer Engineering Course
  • Certifications (CISCO and IBM management, Network, ITIL, Database/Server Management) are an advantage.
  • Windows and Linux Operating systems administration.
