About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Data Engineer with a strong background in the Azure Data Platform to join our global team. This role requires hands-on experience in implementing and maintaining complex data solutions using Azure services, with a focus on scalability, efficiency, and performance. The successful candidate will play a key role in leading end-to-end implementations, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, and driving best practices in data engineering.
You must be proactive, adaptable, and experienced in working within international and remote teams. A strong commitment to learning, mentoring, and delivering high-quality results is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end implementation of data solutions on the Azure Data Platform, including design, development, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Collaborate with external service providers during solution implementation to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Azure cloud services, particularly Azure Data Lake, Azure Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Machine Learning.
  • Design and implement scalable data pipelines and integration solutions, including working with data from SAP and Salesforce.
  • Ensure data accuracy, performance, and reliability across all stages of the ETL lifecycle.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
  • Participate in Agile development cycles and contribute to sprint planning and delivery.
  • Apply data management principles, including data lakehouse architecture and best practices aligned with DAMA capabilities.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues quickly and effectively.
  • Communicate and collaborate with stakeholders across various functions and geographic locations.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master's degree or further studies in Data Science/Analytics is a plus.
  • 4-8 years of proven experience as a Data Engineer or similar role with a focus on the Azure Data Platform.
  • Strong proficiency in:
  • Azure Data Lake
  • Azure Databricks
  • Azure Data Factory
  • Microsoft Fabric
  • Azure Machine Learning
  • Azure Cognitive Services
  • Azure Cosmos DB or other NoSQL databases
  • Solid understanding of data warehouse, data lake, and lakehouse architectures.
  • Hands-on experience integrating data from enterprise platforms such as SAP and Salesforce.
  • Relevant Azure certification: DP-203 (Azure Data Engineer Associate) or AZ-305 (Designing Microsoft Azure Infrastructure Solutions).
  • Strong skills in SQL, Python, and cloud-based ETL development.
  • Experience working in Agile development environments.
  • Familiarity with DAMA data management principles is an advantage.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with fluency in English (Spanish is a plus).
  • Ability to work independently and effectively in a remote, geographically dispersed team.
