Our hotel in Boracay is currently looking for a Head Chef to oversee kitchen operations and work closely with F&B team on ensuring that restaurant operations are delivered smoothly and efficiently.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee the operations of the kitchen including menu development, food preparation, food plating, and food serving to the restaurant

  • Create recipes that are delectable and attractive to the guests and clients of the hotel

  • Recommend menu costing in consideration of raw food products, labor costs, significant inflation rates, etc.

  • Ensure that unnecessary costs are minimized by reducing, if not totally zeroing out, rework in the kitchen

  • Ensure that the food products and the kitchen comply with the health, sanitation, and safety standards applicable to food & beverage (F&B) services

  • Ensure the consistency of recipes, food plating, food portions, etc. to maintain standards of the restaurant

  • Ensure that guests of the restaurant are generally satisfied with the food products and services rendered by the kitchen

  • Train and develop kitchen staff to ensure that the they are competent in their specific roles and are capable to render quality service

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Graduate of culinary arts of related degrees

  • With at least 5 years of experience in kitchen operations of a hotel/resort as Sous Chef or Head Chef

  • Well-versed on kitchen and restaurant operations, including costing, menu preparation, kitchen safety, quality checking, food innovation, and guest services

  • Preferably with certification related to culinary services

  • Preferably a resident of Boracay and nearby areas
