We are in search of an experienced Business Development Manager who will be responsible for driving revenue growth through new business acquisition, channel partner expansion, and strategic alliances. This role combines strategic planning and hands-on execution across direct and indirect sales channels to maximize market reach and revenue potential.
Responsibilities- Identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities across targeted sectors
- Develop and execute strategies to penetrate new markets or customer segments
- Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline and forecast revenue opportunities
- Lead high-value negotiations and contract closures
- Build and manage channel ecosystems, including resellers, distributors, and strategic partners
- Design and execute partner programs, incentive structures, and governance models
- Monitor partner performance and ensure alignment with company goals and KPIs
- Drive co-marketing efforts and joint sales initiatives with channel partners
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product, and operations to deliver value propositions
- Use market trends, competitive intelligence, and customer feedback to refine go-to-market strategies
- Mentor and manage teams of business development managers, partner leads, or channel specialists where applicable
- Maintain accountability for commercial performance, with targets related to revenue, margin, and market share
Academic Background
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or related field
Experience
- 7 to 10+ years of experience in business development, partnerships, or channel management, preferably within tech, FMCG, retail, or F&B sectors
- Proven track record of managing large enterprise accounts and complex partner ecosystems
Skills and Knowledge
- Sales mastery with a proven track record in business development and closing complex deals
- Experience managing reseller and distributor ecosystems
- Strategic thinking to design and execute long-term growth and partnership plans
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building abilities
- Deep market insight into industry trends, competitive dynamics, and customer behavior
- Leadership in managing cross-functional teams or direct reports
- Strong results orientation with focus on KPIs, revenue goals, and ROI
