Job Purpose:

  1. Initiates and drives strategic ICT activities across the critical elements of IT (Infrastructure, Enterprise and Business Intelligence):

  • Works closely with the Shared Service Heads, Company Heads and CEO to drive strategic transformation initiatives.

  • Works hand in hand with Company Heads and Shared Service Heads leaders to prioritize resources against the strategic and transformation areas.

  • Works with industry consultants and experts to align internal priorities and plans.

  1. Defines and delivers the IT strategy and capabilities across the companies.

Digital Transformation Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Roadmap

  • Designs, integrates and implements a comprehensive strategy to embed analytics, digital capabilities and emerging technologies across all departments and companies for digital transformation.

  1. Strategic Orchestration

  • Orchestrates the right conversations and bridges relevant leaders and teams to land the decisions needed to move our strategic objectives.

  • Advocates digital solutions and collaborates with departments and companies to ensure successful implementation, reinforcing the overall value proposition.

  • Promotes the adoption of analytics and digital capabilities via change management efforts and training initiatives.

  • Partners with existing teams to enhance and extend digital and analytics solutions for both current customers and prospects.

  • Manages cross-functional teams in executing analytics and digital projects, overseeing milestones, resource allocation, and project progress.

  • Ensures that strategies are implemented, transformation priorities are carried out and blockers are addressed.

  1. Strategic Decision

  • Works closely with Shared Service Heads, Company Heads and CEO including clients or customers to identify opportunities for technological modernization and execute innovative solutions.

  • Creates and implements scalable digital solutions that enhance operational efficiency and seamlessly integrate new digital assets into existing systems.

  • Leads diverse projects, including consulting, assessment, and analytics initiatives, offering expert guidance throughout.

  1. Strategic Governance

  • Enables the Shared Service Heads, Company Heads and CEO to have the proper oversight and control to steer the direction of IT for digital transformation.

  • Enables the Shared Service Heads, Company Heads and CEO to deliver the right message to stakeholders at the right time .

  1. Strategic Scoping

  • Keeps abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in analytics and digital transformation, providing strategic insights and guidance.

  • Delivers relevant information in a timely manner and layering in strategic insights.

IT Operations Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Roadmap

  • Develops the IT vision, strategy and a roadmap and leads the IT team and its business partners in effective execution.

  • Directs the design, planning, implementation, and maintenance of the computing infrastructure that supports the company's operations and business applications.

  • Leads the design and implementation of an enterprise-wide disaster recovery and business continuity plan.

  • Prepares and monitors IT operational budgets that meet prevailing objectives and constraints.

  1. Strategic Operations

  • Ensures that current and planned technical architecture, investments and solutions are aligned with company business objectives.

  • Ensures that the organization has strong systems analysis and project management skills, and the ability to execute business-critical projects on time and on budget.

  • Establishes a comprehensive enterprise cybersecurity program to ensure the security, integrity, confidentiality, availability of company data.

  • Implements the most appropriate and effective IT organizational design to support and engage with the business.

  • Establishes metrics for managing IT effectiveness and for measuring the impact of IT on the business including the appropriate KPIs that direct high availability operations.

  • Maintains oversight of all IT projects, ensuring that commitments are properly planned, staffed, monitored and reported.

  • Reviews, recommends and oversees all vendors and managed service agreements for IT computing, communications, services and equipment.

  1. Strategic Governance

  • Builds strong relationships with business groups and their leaders across the enterprise and develops a detailed understanding of their issues, challenges and opportunities.

  • Fosters a culture of innovation, transparency and accountability in IT.

  • Establishes and enforces IT policies, processes, portfolio management, development standards and methodologies.

  1. Strategic Scoping

  • Monitors the industry for developments in IT operations; evaluates and implements relevant new tools and service management frameworks.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Background in consulting, technology and sales.

  • Postgraduate degree or MBA from a leading institution.

  • Experience in building systems (people, process, programs, tools and methods) and running IT operations.

  • Experience in building, leading, selling, and delivering large-scale transformation programs that integrate technology, business strategy, data, and emerging technologies.

  • Proven success in managing cross-functional IT and non-IT teams and driving change in complex environments.

  • Outstanding leadership and interpersonal skills, with a track record of successfully engaging clients and stakeholders across the organization.

  • Global perspective and understanding of the digital business marketplace.

  • Project Management Skills.
