
PR & Media Manager

As a PR & Media Manager, you'll lead the planning, development and execution of public relations strategies that amplify UMG's artist, campaigns and brand presence across all media touchpoints. In this role you'll drive earned media coverage, manage various content partners, strengthen press relationships, execute media conference for local and international artists, and craft compelling narratives that resonate with fans and the music industry while working closely with internal marketing teams, Label heads, artist management, media contacts to shape how UMG and its artists show up in the cultural conversation.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement comprehensive media strategies for local and international artist campaigns, encompassing traditional (print, TV, radio) and new media (podcasts, other relevant digital and content platforms, etc.)
- Support the planning and execution of PR campaigns for artist campaigns- domestic and international.
- Plan, coordinate and manage budgets for PR events (press conference/junkets), programs and all media-related initiatives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with entertainment, lifestyle, music and digital media partners.
- Pitch stories and secure editorial coverage (interviews, features, press releases, etc.) across platforms.
- Draft press materials including media advisories, bios, talking points and Q&A's.
- Manage external PR agencies- briefing them on campaign goals, overseeing deliverables, ensuring alignment with UMG brand standards, and track performance.
- Monitor and track media coverage, preparing post-campaign reports and insights.
- Collaborate with international and local PR teams to craft messaging and share results.
- Stay updated on industry trends, news cycles and cultural moments to inform outreach opportunities.
- Support issues and reputation management efforts as needed.
- At least 5 years of experience in PR, Media relations or communications preferably in music, entertainment or lifestyle sectors.
- Solid network of media contacts across print, digital, radio and broadcast and with experience working or managing PR agencies.
- Excellent writing, storytelling and communication skills
- Strong sense of passion for music and entertainment.
- Deep pop-culture immersion to pitch stories or content strategy that's aligned with the trends
- Detail-oriented, organized and comfortable managing multiple priorities.
- A self-starter with strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Knowledge of media monitoring or analytic tools.
- Experience with working with talents in a PR or entertainment environment is a plus.
