XMPie Template Developer

We are seeking a detail-oriented XMPie Template Developer to join our production team. This role focuses on creating and implementing variable data print (VDP) and cross-media marketing templates using XMPie software based on specifications from our ticketing system. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with efficient workflow management to deliver high-quality personalized marketing materials.

• Template Development & Production: Create XMPie uDirect, uCreate, and uProduce templates according to specifications provided through the ticket management system
• Template Development & Production: Develop variable data templates for print, email, web, and mobile channels
• Template Development & Production: Implement complex personalization rules, conditional logic, and dynamic content blocks
• Template Development & Production: Build and configure ADOR (Automatic Dynamic Output Rules) for multi-channel campaigns
• Template Development & Production: Set up data mappings between templates and customer databases or data sources
• Technical Implementation: Process incoming tickets and interpret technical requirements, mockups, and brand guidelines
• Technical Implementation: Configure variable elements including text, images, barcodes, QR codes, and charts
• Technical Implementation: Create and maintain reusable asset libraries and template components
• Technical Implementation: Ensure proper color management and print specifications for production-ready files
• Quality Assurance & Testing: Perform thorough testing of all personalization logic and variable elements
• Quality Assurance & Testing: Generate proof sets and conduct pre-flight checks before template release
• Quality Assurance & Testing: Validate data merge accuracy and output across different channels
• Quality Assurance & Testing: Troubleshoot template issues and resolve technical problems
• Quality Assurance & Testing: Document template specifications and maintain version control
• Workflow Management: Monitor and prioritize tickets based on deadlines and business requirements
• Workflow Management: Communicate with project managers, designers, and stakeholders regarding ticket status
• Workflow Management: Provide time estimates for template creation and revisions
• Workflow Management: Maintain accurate ticket documentation and status updates
• Workflow Management: Collaborate with IT teams on data integration and API connections

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in XMPie software suite (uDirect, uCreate, uProduce, Circle)
• Technical Skills: Strong understanding of variable data printing concepts and workflows
• Technical Skills: Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
• Technical Skills: Understanding of database concepts and data file formats (CSV, XML, JSON)
• Technical Skills: Familiarity with SQL queries and data manipulation
• Professional Experience: 2+ years of experience creating XMPie templates or similar VDP solutions
• Professional Experience: Demonstrated ability to work with ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Jira, or similar)
• Professional Experience: Experience in print production, prepress, or marketing automation environments
