JOB SUMMARY:
The Junior HR Officer will support core HR functions within the Human Resources Department, focusing primarily on recruitment, onboarding, record-keeping, monitoring, and offboarding of employees across both head office and project sites. The role involves close coordination with hiring managers and project site teams to ensure staffing requirements are
met in a timely and effective manner. This role will also support employee engagement initiatives, assisting in the planning and execution of activities, events, and programs that foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture. Additionally, the role will support general HR administrative tasks to help maintain smooth departmental operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Recruitment and Onboarding:
- Assist in the full-cycle recruitment process for both head office and site-based roles, including job posting, screening, interviewing, and job offers.
- Conduct site visits to facilitate the recruitment of local workers when required.
- Coordinate onboarding processes for new hires, including documentation, orientation scheduling, and system setup.
- Maintain recruitment databases and reports.
Employee Record Keeping and Monitoring:
- Maintain and update employee records (physical and digital) in compliance with internal policies and legal requirements.
- Track employee attendance, leaves, and contract renewals in coordination with site HR and project managers.
- Assist in the preparation of reports and analytics related to workforce movements and trends.
Employee Offboarding:
- Facilitate smooth offboarding of employees including exit interviews, clearance processing, and documentation.
- Ensure proper coordination with payroll, IT, and admin teams for exit formalities.
Employee Engagement
- Support the HR team in planning, organizing, and executing employee engagement activities (e.g., wellness programs, company events, team-building activities).
- Assist in rallying employee participation and gathering feedback for continuous improvement of engagement programs.
- Help conceptualize and design creative initiatives to strengthen company culture.
- HR Administration
- Provide general administrative support to the HR department, including file management, scheduling, and document preparation.
- Assist in compliance documentation and other HR-related functions as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 1–2 years of experience in HR or recruitment-related roles (internship experience included).
- Experience or willingness to work in both office and field/site environments.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiar with HRIS tools is an advantage.
- Outgoing and approachable personality with a proactive and flexible attitude.
- Willing to travel to project sites as required.
