Overview

Designer, Layout – ATE Business Unit at Analog Devices. Take your IC layout design expertise to the next level with global collaboration and cutting-edge technology.

We deliver high-performance solutions for semiconductor testing and enable faster, more accurate, and cost-effective testing worldwide. You'll collaborate with a worldwide team and design high-quality layouts that meet today's complex challenges. You'll have opportunities to mentor new hires and contribute to process improvements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop block or section level layouts with a focus on quality and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with schematic designers, block layout engineers, and lead layout personnel to meet project milestones.
  • Ensure design integrity and compliance with layout principles, reliability, and industry standards.
  • Mentor and train new college engineers and interns, fostering team development.
  • Contribute to layout process enhancements and best-practice initiatives.
Key Qualifications
  • Extensive analog block level layout experience
  • Strong fundamental knowledge in semiconductor device physics, cross-section and construction
  • Strong fundamental knowledge in layout principles, IC reliability and failure mechanisms
  • Proficiency in Cadence Virtuoso XL and Calibre verification tools is an advantage
Education & Experience
  • BS Electronics or Electrical Engineering
  • At least 2 years of relevant working experience
Additional Requirements
  • Strong communications skills, both oral and written
  • Able to work and effectively collaborate with a cross-functional and global team
  • Layout experience in High Voltage, High-Speed Layouts, Switches, or Multiplexers is a plus
  • Familiarity with technology nodes such as 0.18µm, 0.35µm, or 40nm is an advantage
Work Arrangement

Hybrid work setup, combining onsite and remote work. Occasional domestic and international travel may be required for technical conferences and team engagements.
