
Corporate Governance Data Operations Senior Associate

The Corporate Governance Data Operations Senior Associate (Mandarin Language) will also support projects and initiatives designed to enhance efficiency within the Governance Operations team—particularly by leveraging Mandarin language capabilities to streamline data collection and improve processing accuracy for relevant markets.
Your Key ResponsibilitiesSearch for and process corporate governance information across MSCI's CG universe, with a focus on Mandarin-language sources, using approved methods, tools, and data standards.
Develop subject matter expertise in corporate governance issues, with particular emphasis on Greater China markets, and serve as a key resource for Mandarin-language data.
Collaborate effectively with internal teams—including Sustainability Research, Controversies, and others—to align on data collection methodologies and enhance understanding of market-specific governance practices.
Conduct ongoing research to procure, verify, and process governance-related data by reviewing financial disclosures, exchange filings, regulatory materials, and trusted corporate governance databases—particularly those published in Mandarin.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail, particularly in evaluating complex corporate governance information.
Good judgment in assessing available data and accurately capturing information in line with MSCI's methodology.
Proficiency in Mandarin (written and reading comprehension) is required, as the role involves reviewing issuer filings, regulatory disclosures, and other governance materials published in Mandarin.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and perform under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Company Law, or a related field, with at least 7 years of experience in a relevant role, ideally involving team coordination or leadership.
Candidates with prior experience in Sustainability—particularly in corporate governance research and data analysis—will be given strong consideration.
