This role will report to the Recruitment and Cadet Manager and will assist in the end-to-end recruitment of ratings and cadet functions in support to Manning Offices, Crewing, Fleet Group, Payroll and Vessel Management.
Responsibilities- Create, post and audit job descriptions based on hiring requirements and ensure all job ads align with company standards and tone of voice.
- Conduct proper initial screening/interviews of applicants based on hiring criteria and by monitoring mails, sites and other online portals.
- Schedule CES or Marlins tests/exams for qualified applicants based on CV screening and monitor test/exam results.
- Schedule initial and technical interviews and monitor the status of applicants throughout the recruitment process. Schedule qualified applicants for Clinical Psychological Assessment (CPA) and Pre-Embarkation Medical Exam (PEME) and coordinate with vendors and applicants on CPA and PEME results.
- Create COMPAS profiles of new hires, and schedule new hires for New Hire Orientation, PDOS, APAT and other required pre-embarkation trainings.
- Ensure all legal and regulatory requirements for Ratings and Cadets are updated and complied with for endorsements. Validate all documents and requirements prior to endorsements and management approval.
- Proper and timely endorsements of applicants for Planning Team.
- Create and update Recruitment Monitoring Files and Reports.
- Provide support to ensure Recruitment Marketing collateral and ads are properly and timely executed.
- All other Recruitment tasks as assigned.
- Ensure recruitment targets are met for both Ratings and Officers.
- Conceptualize and execute recruitment initiatives to attract applicants.
- Maintain ongoing professional development through continuous self-assessment and improvement.
- Reinforce a culture of high performance in the team.
- Take initiative and proactively review and improve procedures and HR issues.
- Maintain strong relations with internal and external stakeholders.
- Execute tasks in a timely manner and in accordance with company procedures and values.
- In case of absence due to vacation, prepare a formal handover to ensure continuity of service to seafarers and stakeholders.
- Must be a college graduate with good interpersonal and people skills.
- Minimum two (2) years of recruitment-related experience; recruitment experience in the shipping industry or manning office in maritime industry is an advantage but not required.
- Good communication, organizational and time-management skills.
- Analytical skills for analysing information, managing data and information logically.
- Able to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment; innovative and a good team player.
- Shows and builds knowledge and experience in HR processes and International Maritime Industry.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Demonstrates inclusion and diversity skills by engaging and collaborating with colleagues in the team and globally.
- Demonstrates ownership qualities and encourages feedback within the team to ensure all contribute equally to team efforts.
