Job Description

The Head of Release Management is a leadership function that focuses in quality delivery of all release functions. This role will define release strategy, ensuring seamless coordination across teams (including global) and driving operational excellence in the planning, scheduling, and delivery of software and system releases. The role requires close collaboration with executive leadership, stakeholders, and technical teams to ensure that all releases meet business goals and quality standards.

  • Manage and optimize the release management process, ensuring timely and high-quality software releases.
  • Coordinate across teams, including development, testing, and operations, to streamline release cycles.
  • Oversee the planning, scheduling, and execution of all releases, including emergency fixes.
  • Develop and maintain release documentation, including plans, notes, and risk assessments.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks and challenges in the release pipeline.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal quality standards.
  • Establish governance frameworks for release planning, scheduling, and execution.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to team members involved in the release process.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Head of Release Management should have:

  • A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in release management within a technology department.
  • Open across other industry outside of health-tech
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and release pipelines.
  • Expertise in coordinating cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of healthcare technology systems and industry compliance standards.
  • A results-driven approach with excellent problem-solving skills.
