We are seeking for a detail-oriented Senior Estimator with Structural Engineer experienceto join a well-esteemed Construction Company based in US.

The role is responsible to obtain all relevant project specifications, determine the most appropriate building materials, and secure favourable prices on all resources. In addition, they will be providing administration support and responsible for construction management.

The successful candidate will be an all-rounder self-starter and team player. You must be able to translate project requirements into quantitative figures with ease and able to meet deadlines.

This role would suit an organized, pro-active, and highly detail orientated team player who can thrive within a fast pace and growing work environment. Someone with well-developed problem-solving skills, who embraces challenges with a positive outlook.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Receive project plans and categorize.
  • Track status of estimated projects
  • Create subcontractor bid list.
  • Send RFP's to Bidders.
  • Send RFI's to architect/owner.
  • Coordinate with sales team site visits.
  • Coordinate with team and Project Manager.
  • Create base schedule with project manager
  • Prepares and estimates budget costs for construction by studying plans and specifications.
  • Evaluates offers to purchase by site requirements, additions, and costing changes.
  • Resolves cost differences by analysing and collecting info.
  • Navigates and understands building codes.
  • Stays up to date with safety codes and improvements in construction.
  • Assist with tender submissions, including but not limited to obtaining the required information and documentation from sources, and proof reading and cross referencing against client request for information.
  • Writes up and presents budgets, reports, and project plans.
  • Perform other ad hoc and admin duties.
Education and Work Experience:
  • Minimum of ten (10) years' experience as Senior Estimator with Structural Engineering experience.
  • Graduate of an Engineering Degree.
  • Proficient with Buildertrend software.
  • Solid experience in construction management.
  • Sound construction knowledge & good grasp of building codes.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to work under own initiative.
  • Can start immediately.
