About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Public Area Attendant/Housekeeping to join our team at the prestigious SMX Convention Center. This is a full-time position that will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of our public spaces within the mall.

What you'll be doing...

General Duties:

  • Performing regular cleaning and maintenance of all public areas, including floors, walls, windows, and common spaces

  • Restocking and replenishing supplies in restrooms and other common areas

  • Identifying and addressing any cleaning or maintenance issues in a timely manner

  • Collaborating with the wider Housekeeping team to ensure a high standard of cleanliness and presentation is maintained at all times

  • Adhering to all health, safety, and hygiene protocols

  • Providing excellent customer service to all mall visitors

Specific Tasks:

  • Public Area Cleaning: Cleaning lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and other common areas in commercial buildings.

  • Floor Care: Maintaining clean and polished floors, including carpets, tile, and hardwood.

  • Kitchen and Bathroom Cleaning: Ensuring kitchens and bathrooms are spotless and well-maintained.

  • Laundry: Washing, drying, and folding linens and other laundry items.

  • Furniture and Fixture Cleaning: Polishing furniture, cleaning windows and mirrors, and maintaining fixtures.

  • Special Requests: Handling guest requests for additional supplies or services.

What we're looking for

  • With or without previous experience in a housekeeping or public area maintenance role

  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Flexible and adaptable, able to work effectively as part of a team

  • Proficient in the use of cleaning equipment and products

  • Commitment to providing exceptional customer service
