Hotel Housekeeping Manager

This senior management role is responsible for the overall direction and operation of the housekeeping department, ensuring that guests enjoy an exceptional experience during their stay.

  • Leadership: Oversee the effectiveness of all aspects of housekeeping operations and related departments. Plan, direct, control, and coordinate the activities of housekeeping personnel to achieve hotel standards.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Ensure cleanliness and maintain hotel premises, including guestrooms, function rooms, public areas, back of the house, pool area, and surroundings, in accordance with international standards.
  • Inventory Management: Store and issue hotel linens and uniforms as needed, ensuring adequate inventory levels.
  • Training and Development: Train housekeeping staff according to established procedures and systems, conduct meetings to discuss problems and future plans, and provide information and assignments to concerned personnel.
  • Reporting: Prepare reports on periodic inventories of linens and uniforms and submit them to superiors.
  • Coordination: Coordinate with front office regarding room transfers, guest changes, and other problems or requirements regarding guest accommodation and billing.

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in hotel management or a related field and have at least 5 years of experience in housekeeping in a 5-star environment.

This role requires a mid-senior level professional with strong leadership and communication skills, able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and maintain confidentiality and secure storage of intellectual property and databases.
