Description
  • Determine and communicate the repairs needed in order to maintain the fleet for maximum vehicle life and minimal downtime.
  • Coordinate with branch OIC and branch dispatchers in monitoring fleet due for maintenance and their respective accounts.
  • Perform as Customer Service Advisor, focusing on building rapport and healthy relationships with our valued clients. Provide safety and road advice, and attend to emergencies such as service breakdowns.
  • Schedule appointments for periodic maintenance service.
  • Create repair orders, purchase orders, and/or job orders.
  • Communicate work orders and observe workflow progress in the garage to ensure work is completed to specified requirements in a timely manner.
  • Obtain information from customers regarding requested or needed work.
  • Discuss repairs with customers.
  • Record appropriate information about the unit/vehicle into the computer system (File Maker) and print out the work order. Track customers' rental vehicles and provide estimates on repairs needed. Inform rental customers of the status of the units in our garage with a spreadsheet that is updated weekly.
  • Meet with the Motor Pool Supervisor and Job Controller to discuss work orders and areas of concern.
  • Work with parts specialists to ensure parts are available when customers' vehicles are ready for repair.
  • Order parts as needed, filling in for Parts Specialist when they are out.
  • Monitor 200/800 units of vehicle fleet and various clients' accounts.
  • All other duties as assigned.
  • Assist HO and branch requests.
Requirements
  • Preferably a college graduate / bachelor's degree.
  • Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to listen to and understand customers' needs.
  • Ability to maintain clear and accurate records.
  • With a valid driver's license.
