JCC Asia Back Office Inc. is seeking a highly motivated individual with proven advanced IT technical skills to fill the above new role based in Manila, Philippines. We are seeking an enthusiastic and focused applicant who holds proven performance in IT operations with outstanding communications skills who can work in a complex environment as a collaborative team player with an agile mindset, achieving outcomes within deadlines. Proven ability to build sustainable productive working relationships with stakeholders in a multidisciplinary environment and champion a "company and client first" culture will also be paramount to success.
Working closely with the IT Manager and the CEO, the successful candidate will hold responsibility and oversight of troubleshooting and basic networking issues as they arise, providing a single point of contact for end users seeking technical assistance personally, remotely, or through internal communications. The role also includes installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all hardware and IT equipment to ensure optimal performance. Documenting solutions and procedures that can be used to solve future problems and help analyze issues, root cause, and propose improvements is also a key factor pertaining to this role, together with overall monitoring and reporting related to ticket performance and IT inventories.
The role will support the Chief Executive Officer and the IT Manager in delivering on its Company objectives through ongoing effective oversight and management of the day-to-day operations pertaining to the organization's IT services.
Note: This position requires full-time attendance in the corporate office located in Makati.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- The role will be guided by the company's corporate procedures.
- Diagnosing and resolving technical issues such as network connectivity, system failures, and software errors.
- Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
- Performing routine maintenance tasks to ensure the optimal performance and security of computer systems.
- Conducting daily audits to pinpoint weaknesses in the cybersecurity posture.
- Providing technical support on-site or via remote access systems.
- Maintaining up-to-date and accurate inventories of hardware and software.
- Setting up and installing new computers, networks, and software.
- Responding to user inquiries and providing technical support for computer systems, software applications, and hardware devices through a ticketing system.
- Installing and configuring operating systems, anti-virus software, and other applications.
- Repairing hardware malfunctions, software issues, and networking problems.
- Keeping a record of issues and faults along with solutions for future reference.
- Reviewing, documenting, and improving processes to contribute to the overall security of the environment inclusive of system updates.
- Managing and ensuring compliance with all internal and external audits inclusive of the administration of corporate hardware assets registrations and distributions.
- Providing security incident response management, troubleshooting, advice, and education within the company.
Candidate Personal and Professional Attributes:
To be successful within this role, you will be able to demonstrate significant knowledge and experience in the provision of IT technical services. You will also display evidence of:
- Excellent interpersonal, stakeholder engagement, and facilitation skills.
- Bachelor's/College Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or any related field, or equivalent experience in a related field.
- Minimum 1-3 years of professional experience in IT Services and/or Operations.
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven expertise in Desktop/Laptop Installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with Information Security industry standards/best practices and relevant regulations.
- Proven performance in information security through relevant experience and formal training.
- Accuracy and attention to detail whilst holding good judgment.
- Solid knowledge and understanding of international security and risk-related standards, regulatory guidelines, or frameworks.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously as well as in a collaborative team.
- Ability to influence and negotiate effective outcomes with a broad range of stakeholders.
- Well organized and the ability to manage multiple topics, projects, and initiatives at one time.
- The capacity to make sound judgments and actionable decisions.
- Knowledge of CCNA or CompTIA Network is an advantage but not essential.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Exchange, Security software, and Windows OS is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
