The IT Senior Applications Specialist plays a crucial role in the operations and maintenance of the ServiceNow instance and is responsible for customizing, configuring, and maintaining the ServiceNow platform to meet the organization's needs for managing IT services and operations.

We know the work we do is vital in assisting Aurecon's business globally. Here are the key things you will do to 'bring ideas to life':

1. Proactively manage the health and performance of the ServiceNow platform through preventive maintenance, timely troubleshooting, performance monitoring and proactive identification of potential issues.
2. Drive continuous improvement of the platform to optimise processes and user experience.
3. Ensure comprehensive documentation of all development efforts i.e. use cases, configuration, customizations and integrations to facilitate maintainability, knowledge transfer and future development efficiency.
4. Liaise with other staff and/or squads to problem solve and ensure consistency of processes.
5. Embrace Aurecon's safety culture, understand and role model adherence to their obligations and actively participate in implementing safe systems of work.

1. Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science or a related discipline
2. At least 4 years' experience in implementation/customisation and administration of ServiceNow ITSM and ITOM
3. Strong experience in application development and support in a Global Shared Services set up
4. Extensive experience in ServiceNow ITSM and ITOM.
5. Experienced in platform configuration and customization, including scripting and workflow automation, to meet business requirements and deliver solutions that adhere to best practices.
6. Proficient in analysing requirements, designing and building service request fulfilment workflows, and developing comprehensive documentation.
7. Experienced in ServiceNow integrations with external systems using Orchestration, Web Services, Soap calls, etc. to sync, manipulate and maintain data between ServiceNow and other systems
8. Strong troubleshooting, monitoring, and incident resolution skills.
9. Experienced in ServiceNow OOTB reporting, and dashboard creation.
10. Experienced in maintaining security requirements within ServiceNow instances, including but not limited to tasks such as security patch installation, upgrades, cloning, etc.
11. Solid understanding of IT infrastructure, ITSM, ITOM, CMDB, asset management business process and e-bonding solutions
12. Capable of creating automated test frameworks and providing estimates.
13. Excellent ability to create high quality functional/technical documentation and technical requirements gathering skills.
14. Excellent Communication Skills to technical and non-technical audience.
15. Strong Stakeholder Management skills and has worked with a diverse set of stakeholders
16. Experience in Agile methodology and Scrum
