
Business Development Manager

Job Summary:
We are seeking a confident and results-driven Business Development Manager with a strong background in construction or engineering to lead and expand our market presence in the hydroseeding industry. The ideal candidate is someone who can engage with executives and senior-level decision-makers, navigate technical construction language, and seamlessly present hydroseeding solutions as value-adding services in large-scale infrastructure and land development projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Proactively identify potential clients in construction, engineering, and land development sectors.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders such as project managers, engineers, and decision-makers.
Conduct meetings and presentations with executives and senior-level clients, articulating the benefits of hydroseeding in technical and ROI terms.
Communicate effectively using construction and engineering language to align our services with project specifications and industry standards.
Develop and execute business development strategies to achieve sales targets and expand into new markets.
Monitor industry trends, project pipelines, and competitor activities to position the company advantageously.
Lead the preparation of technical proposals, cost estimates, and bid documents tailored to specific project requirements.
Collaborate with internal teams (operations, technical, and finance) to ensure alignment and accuracy of offerings.
Provide continuous support to clients post-project to ensure satisfaction and foster long-term partnerships.
Gather client feedback and relay to operations for service improvement and innovation.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or technical client relations within the construction, landscaping, or infrastructure industries.
Proven ability to speak confidently with executives, project heads, and technical stakeholders.
Familiarity with hydroseeding, erosion control, land rehabilitation, or environmental restoration is highly advantageous.
Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Willingness to travel to project sites and client meetings as needed.
Registered Civil Engineer or with PRC license (optional but preferred).
Strong network within government infrastructure agencies, general contractors, or engineering firms.
Ability to translate technical requirements into actionable business solutions.
