Overview

We are seeking a meticulous and process-driven Market Research & Data Entry Specialist to support our global marketing efforts. This role is perfect for a detail-oriented individual who excels at independent, structured work and finds satisfaction in organizing information with a high degree of accuracy. Your primary mission will be to conduct targeted online research to build and maintain comprehensive databases of key contacts within the global yachting and sailing community. You will be instrumental in helping us connect with clubs, event organizers, and class associations worldwide.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct systematic Google searches to locate specific contact information for yacht clubs, sailing federations, and boat class associations.
  • Accurately compile researched data (names, titles, email addresses, phone numbers, URLs, mailing addresses, event details) into organized Excel spreadsheets.
  • Clean, format, and prepare data for import into our CRM system, HubSpot (training on HubSpot import process will be provided).
  • Meticulously update and enrich existing lists with new information.
  • Identify and record major sailing events, including event names, dates, and key contacts.
  • Follow a precise workflow while also identifying and suggesting efficiencies in the research process.
  • Participate in regular check-ins for training and review of work to ensure quality and accuracy.
Required Qualifications & Skills
  • Proven experience with advanced Google search techniques.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data entry, formatting, managing large lists).
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a high tolerance for repetitive, detailed tasks.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and strong personal accountability.
  • Excellent written communication skills for clear and concise data recording.
  • A self-starter who can follow directions precisely but also thinks critically about how to optimize their workflow.
Ideal Candidate Profile
  • You are a "machine" when it comes to data-centric tasks—focused, efficient, and accurate.
  • You are likely already working another part-time role or are seeking to split your time between multiple projects. We believe this variety helps make detailed work sustainable.
  • An interest in or familiarity with the sailing community is a plus but not required.
Project Scope
  • You will be working with several key lists, including:
  • A list of 1,200+ yacht club race directors to update with email addresses.
  • Lists of top yacht clubs worldwide and existing customers.
  • Targeted lists for SailGP event markets clubs per market).
  • Research into 12-15 specific boat classes for leadership contact information.
  • Research into national sailing federations for leadership and member club details.
