About the role

The HR Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Human Resources department, ensuring efficient and effective HR services and operations. This role involves managing HR processes, policies, and programs, ensuring compliance with legal and company standards, and leading a team of HR professionals. The HR Operations Manager will collaborate with other HR leaders and department heads to implement strategic initiatives that improve employee experience and organizational performance.

What you'll be doing

HR Operations Management:
  • Oversee the day-to-day HR operations including payroll, benefits administration, HRIS management, and employee records.
  • Ensure HR services are delivered in a timely, efficient, and accurate manner.
Policy and Compliance:
  • Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Conduct regular audits of HR processes and records to ensure compliance.
HRIS and Technology:
  • Manage the HR Information System (HRIS) to ensure data integrity and efficient workflow.
  • Identify and implement HR technology solutions to improve HR processes and employee experience.
Employee Relations:
  • Handle employee relations issues, conducting investigations as necessary.
  • Provide guidance to managers and employees on HR policies and procedures.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
Performance Management:
  • Support the performance management process, including goal setting, performance reviews, and development planning.
  • Provide training and support to managers on performance management best practices.
Compensation and Benefits:
  • Oversee compensation and benefits programs, ensuring they are competitive and aligned with company strategy.
  • Conduct regular market analysis to inform compensation strategies.
Talent Management:
  • Support talent acquisition efforts, including workforce planning, recruitment, and onboarding.
  • Develop and implement employee training and development programs.
Team Leadership:
  • Lead and mentor a team of HR professionals, providing coaching and development opportunities.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
HR Metrics and Reporting:
  • Develop and track HR metrics to assess the effectiveness of HR programs and initiatives.
  • Prepare and present reports to senior management on HR performance.
Strategic Initiatives:
  • Collaborate with HR leadership and business partners to develop and implement strategic HR initiatives.
  • Drive continuous improvement in HR processes and programs.

What we're looking for

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a generalist HR role or HR Business Partner role, preferably in the same industry
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence at all levels
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively
  • Proficient in HR information systems and data analysis
  • Collaborative mindset and a commitment to continuous improvement
  • Able to handle confidential matters and sensitive issues
  • Can manage group of people with at least ten members
