Overview

POSITION SUMMARY STATEMENT (defines the major functions/purpose of the position)

Comply with Global and Regional policy and procedure to support local market Business. Responsible for leading a team to deliver effective Supply Chain Operation management in Inventory Planning, Inventory Control, Warehousing, Logistics, Distribution, Project Management & Operations Compliance, Strategy and additionally achieve Members expected Service Standards.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Directly Manage & lead the Supply Chain Operations team comprising of Warehousing, Logistics, Inventory Control, Inventory Planning teams.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS

  • Interacts with all levels throughout organization; locally, regionally and at Home Office; Members, Customers, Service Providers.

DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES: List the expectations for each job responsibility including quality and quantity standards to which the incumbent is required to perform and receive a rating for during the Performance Appraisal.

- Major Functions

Inventory Planning / Inventory Control Operations

  1. Ensure adequate supply of Herbalife products to meet business requirements.
  2. Host S&OP meetings to drive forecast accuracy (collaboration & SKU level), highlight supply risks, inventory obsolete risks.
  3. Ensure inventory accuracy with proper controls & in compliance of Company Procedures / Policies.

Warehouse Operations

  1. Develop Warehousing Infrastructure & Partners with adequate capacity to manage processing of Pickup & Home Deliveries to provide high level service to the Members.
  2. Develop an effective 3PL warehouse management program to ensure Partners meet required KPIs.
  3. Ensure all locations are compliant with local regulatory & company Quality Requirements for Storage / Handling & Distribution of Herbalife Products.

Logistics / Distribution Operations

  1. Manage an effective in-country distribution network for supply of Herbalife Products to meet Member Expectations.
  2. Manage effective import / export operations for Herbalife Products ensuring clearances are in line with current import/export codes, regulations.
  3. Lead Negotiations / Bidding projects for selecting / developing Partners to provide Supply Chain Services.

Product Access / Project Management

  1. Support Business requirements for better Product Access through development of new Access Point / Distribution models.
  2. Drive Process Improvement & execute Supply Chain projects using regular project calls, updates, tools.

Operations Compliance

  1. Ensure Procedures are developed / updated for all local country operations & proper controls are followed to ensure compliance.
  2. Quick Closure of Internal Audit, SOX & Quality Audit findings.

Strategy

  1. Work on strengthening Supply Chain Org / talent development to support market requirements.
  2. Develop long term solutions / process improvement / infrastructure projects / plans to enhance Distributor Experience.
  3. Work on Infrastructure to help Build it Better.

Others

  1. Monitor Dept Performance by conducting monthly reviews and provide monthly reports for local & Regional Management.
  2. Provide support to key Sales Events of the Company as and when required.
  3. Develop team members and future leaders.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: The following are the minimum qualifications an individual needs in order to successfully perform the duties and responsibilities of this position.

Skills/Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration / Business Science and/or Logistics.
  • At least 10 – 15 years working experience in Supply Chain Operations Management, with minimum 10 years in a management role.
  • Strong analytical, planning, negotiation skills. Certificates of CPIM or in Logistics, Planning are preferred.
  • Good project management skills.
  • Experience with order management & customer handling.
  • Strong Computer skills including the complete Microsoft Office package.
  • Experience with inventory control systems and ERP software is a must, preferably Oracle; industry certificate is a plus.
  • Good communication skills in English (both Oral & Written). Bilingual as a native speaker for the local market.
  • Good presentation and reporting skills.
  • Strong Leadership & People Management skills along with the ability to function as an effective team member and work well in a moderately stressful environment.
  • Result Oriented, Good time management and multi-tasking management skills.
  • Ability to carry out responsibilities with minimum supervision and direction.
  • Good organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Ability to prioritize work for effective implementation.
  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels.
  • Good Understanding of Local Regulations impacting Product Storage & Distribution.
  • Innovation / Solution Driven for process improvement.
  • Ability to adapt as the external environment and organization evolves.
