Warehouse Operations Manager

The Warehouse Operations Manager is in charge of the end to end performance of a Growsari warehouse. Warehouse operations involve the following: order fulfillment (pick and pack) and logistics. A warehouse serves an area covering thousands of customers and transacting tens of millions of Peso a month. The Warehouse Operations Manager handles a team of 2 Supervisors, 5 Team Leads and dozens of staff to run the warehouse as an efficient unit with industry leading performance metrics. The Warehouse Operations Manager temporarily reports to the Operations Excellence Manager. Key responsibilities: Describe the tasks and responsibilities typically required in this role and the extent to which decisions might be made which will require interpretation/judgment. Degree of supervision over others is required in this role • Fulfillment Operations • Ensure pick and pack operations follow SOP and meet KPIs for their operations including packing accuracy, out of stock levels and volume handled • Escalate out of stock and other inventory issues in a timely manner to reduce loss of business • Recommend further process improvements that can be done in the Fulfillment Operations • Dispatch Operations • Ensure dispatch and delivery team follows all SOPs for dispatch, returns, collections and cancellations • Ensure timely and complete returns processing by resolving all variances between expected and actual returns amount • Inventory Operations • Oversee the entire inventory process and ensuring accurate tracking and monitoring of reports • People Management • Evaluation of all direct hires • Impose sanctions / disciplinary action for any violations committed • Recommends / initiate plan of action to control or reduce attrition rate • Admin / Reportorial Requirements • Sales analysis and operations analysis based on business review requirements • Prepare administrative reports such as but not limited to Billing Statements, Request for Payment, Cash Advances, and Purchase Requests • Recommends cost-cutting measures to make the hub more profitable Knowledge, skills and experience requirements: Describe what is required from the candidate to perform this role (technical, managerial or behavioral) and what is deemed mandatory or optional/considered as an asset.) Flexibility of working hours required, travel involved • Have experience in warehouse operations at a managerial level in consumer goods, retail or logistics industries • Is impact-driven and want to make a positive impact to the lives of Sari Sari store owners; ultimately playing a role in bridging the income inequality gap in the Philippines • Have a problem solver attitude - and are able to get things done and meet your deliverables while keeping the bigger picture in mind • Have an analytical mind with strong attention to detail • Is good with people and know how to get the best out of them - warehouse operations is tough and demanding and the leeway for errors is low • Have strong interpersonal and conflict management skills • Is willing to work extended hours if necessary • Fluent in Tagalog and good working English Qualifications, certifications and education requirements: Qualifications, certifications and/or licenses required/beneficial to perform this job. Minimum level of education required/suggested for this role Requirements: • Bachelor’s Degree in any field, but preferable Industrial Engineering • Must have at least 3 years of operations management experience, with 2 years managerial experience • Knowledgeable in using Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and Google Drive products • Understanding of general finance and budgeting, including profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash-flow management
