Category Strategy Associate – Crossborder and CN Local Sellers Shopee Manila, National Capital Region, Philippines Job Description We are looking for a strategic, data‑driven, and collaborative professional to join our team as a Category Strategy - Cross Border & CN Local Sellers (CB/CNLS) PIC. In this role, you will drive the performance and business growth of CB and CNLS across multiple categories in the Philippines. You will work closely with regional and local teams to craft and execute growth strategies, ensuring our sellers remain competitive in the fast‑evolving e‑commerce landscape. Responsibilities Drive and manage the growth and performance of Cross Border and CN Local Sellers across assigned categories in the Philippines. Collaborate with Seller Management Teams (based in China, Korea, etc), Regional Function Teams, and Local Teams (Marketing, Business Development, Operations) to develop and execute category growth strategies. Strategically plan, implement, and review seller programs, promotional initiatives, and campaigns to strengthen the performance of top brands and key sellers. Continuously analyze market trends and competitive dynamics to ensure sellers remain highly competitive. Monitor seller performance and profitability, generating actionable insights to guide category initiatives aligned with company goals. Map category landscapes and coordinate with seller market teams to design and execute category growth plans. Partner with global and regional teams to cascade programs, secure investments, and collect feedback from sellers. Act as the main liaison between Seller Offices, Regional Teams, and Local Teams to ensure alignment and smooth collaboration. Serve as the point of contact for operational issues related to CB and CNLS in assigned categories. Conduct ad‑hoc analyses and support special projects as required. Requirements At least five (5) years of work experience; consulting experience is a plus. Relevant experience in key accounts or brand management; Electronics or FMCG experience is preferred but not required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; Mandarin proficiency is an advantage but not required. Strong data‑driven mindset with solid business acumen and understanding of growth and profitability. Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Google Sheets, and Google Slides; strong analytical and presentation skills. Fast learner who can manage multiple projects end‑to‑end. Excellent stakeholder management and collaboration abilities. Flexible and willing to work long hours occasionally. Amenable to work onsite in the Philippines (Ortigas area).
