Role Description

This is a contract hybrid (1-2 days in the office) role for a Category Manager based in BGC, Taguig, Manila, with a combination of on-site and remote work support US (Pacific Standard Time) hours. The Category Manager will oversee procurement and category management processes by analyzing market trends and identifying cost-effective purchasing opportunities. Responsibilities include managing supplier relationships, conducting contract negotiations, tracking procurement performance, and aligning category strategies with sales and business goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree a bonus.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in indirect procurement or strategic sourcing
  • Category expertise in software, cloud infrastructure, IT services, and/or other technology-related indirect spend.
  • Proven track record of building cross-functional relationships and influencing without authority.
  • Excellent negotiation, vendor management, and analytical skills.
  • Be comfortable with data analysis and using analytical tools
  • Understanding of key contract terms such as data privacy, security, and licensing models.
