Client relations

Network with potential clients, follow up with existing clients, and answer client inquiries

Market research

Stay informed about market conditions and perform competitive research on properties in the area

Property listings

Create and maintain lists of properties for sale or rent, including details about location and features

Property promotion

Promote properties through advertisements, open houses, and listing services

Property showings

Accompany clients to properties, answer questions, and highlight features

Negotiations

Mediate negotiations between buyers and sellers

Prepare documents, such as purchase agreements, closing statements, and leases

Answer phone calls and emails, schedule appointments, and update property listings

Education

Complete high school or equivalent

Consider taking the Accountancy, Business, and Management (ABM) strand in high school

Complete a bachelor's degree in real estate management

Submit documents to the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) to become accredited

Skills

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Strong sales and marketing background

Detail-oriented

Ability to work independently

Pleasant and trustworthy

Familiarity with MS Office

Experience

Proven working experience as a real estate agent or salesperson

Proven track record of successful sales

Willingness to travel to different sites

Certifications

Earn real estate certifications to specialize in different types of real estate

Brokerage

Join a real estate brokerage and work under a supervising broker
