Job DescriptionExecutive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Philippines is recruiting on behalf of the most extensive, adopted, and in-depth integrated online platform built for the maritime industry. Our client is on the lookout for an experienced financial professional for the job of Finance Officer. This role will be on mid-shift and WFH arrangement with 1 day onsite.
Job SummaryThe Finance Officer will analyze financial information and prepare financial reports for the identification and maintenance of the company’s financial activity records. Reports to Finance Controller and supervises Accounting Assistant.
Responsibilities- Accounting: Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and completeness of recorded financial information in the system.
- Manage a book of accounts (Global).
- Oversees payment run (Global).
- Manage revenue recognition.
- Inter-company reconciliations and inter-entity cross-charging.
- Process payroll entries (UK, Denmark, HK & SG) and prepare Staff Cost Report (Inc Payroll Control Account Recs).
- Creates reports and dashboards that effectively monitor the accounting process.
- Adhere to proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
- Compliance: Assist with audit requirements; assist with local tax filings; prepare VAT returns for the UK.
- Reporting: Prepare key figures report; perform analytical reviews of monthly financial statements and provide other financial analyses as required by FC; billing and collection of the monthly report.
- People management: Oversee accounting staff.
- Required: Minimum of five relevant years of experience as a Finance Officer or similar role in a similar industry.
- Must be a CPA.
- Experience in using accounting software.
- Willing to work mid-shift.
- Knowledgeable of PH taxation.
- Preferred: PowerBI skills; exposure to international accounting or a company with a SaaS business model; experience in handling compliance for PEZA companies.
- Knowledge and Skills: Advanced computer skills in MS Office (particularly Excel); experience in using FinancialForce; Knowledgeable in using eFPS.
- Competencies: Attention to detail; excellent stakeholder management; excellent business writing skills; up-to-date knowledge of Philippine accounting and tax standards.
